The Christian Church - Synod of Saint Timothy

The Synod of Saint Timothy is a body of faithful Christians, seeking to minister to the world through the Sacramental life and fraternal love that was evident in the ancient Church, while always putting the saving grace of Christ's atoning sacrifice first in our minds. 7 Paschaltide

Hi, All:

The following proper is offered for liturgical use on the 7th Sunday of Paschaltide, 28 May 2006. Kindly note below two slight revisions from the earlier listing on the Synod group site: (1) the shorter Deuterocanonical citation, Sirach 48: 1-11; (2) the additional apostolic epistle citation, Hebrews 4: 14-16.

May the Lord bless and protect you and your loved ones throughout the remainder of this Paschaltide.

Gratefully,
+Craig

7 Paschaltide: "The Ascension of Jesus"

Prayer:
Gracious Father, your blessed Son ascended to heaven so that he could send the promised Comforter, your life-giving Holy Spirit. Through the help of your Spirit, give us the faith to trust that your Son truly abides with us until the end of time. We ask this through your Son, Christ Jesus our risen Lord , who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
