1 Lent: "The Temptation of Jesus"

Prayer:
Merciful Father, as your Son Jesus fasted and prayed in the desert, he was tempted and tested yet did not sin. Through your Spirit discipline us unto perseverance, despite our weakness, so that we may learn to obey you and to trust in your power to forgive and save us. We ask this through your Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
