The Christian Church - Synod of Saint Timothy

The Synod of Saint Timothy is a body of faithful Christians, seeking to minister to the world through the Sacramental life and fraternal love that was evident in the ancient Church, while always putting the saving grace of Christ's atoning sacrifice first in our minds. 1st Sunday of Gracetide

Hi, All!

Gracetide is soon to be upon us. Thus, this proper is offered for your liturgical use on the 1st Sunday of Gracetide, 11 June 2006. This liturgical season is intended to be our Synod's commemoration of the continuation of the ministry of the Lord Jesus through the action of the Holy Spirit in and through the Church. Therefore, the recommended liturgical color for the Sundays of Gracetide is red, symbolizing the fire of the Holy Spirit, as well as the blood of the martyrs who were inspired, encouraged, and strengthened by the same Holy Spirit.

May the love of our heavenly Father, the grace of the only-begotten Son, and the unity and indwelling of the Holy Spirit be with you and with all whom you love and serve. +MM

Gracious Father, every word that comes from you is truly light for our steps on the pilgrimage that leads unto the fullness of your eternal kingdom. Strengthen us by the support of your Spirit, so that we may always be attentive and responsive to the words of your Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
